SUR&R Auto Parts (SRRCKV7) Fuel Line Check Valve for 3/8" Lines
In tank electric fuel pumps have built-in check valves. When these fail, fuel that is supposed to be at the engine runs back into the gas tank, preventing the vehicle from starting. Installing the SRRCKV7 check valve eliminates the need to replace the entire in tank fuel pump. This eliminates an expensive gas tank removal and repair..../ SUR&R Auto Parts (SRRCKV7) Fuel Line Check Valve for 3/8" Lines / price of auto parts

Customer Review :
Works but doesn't work well : SUR&R Auto Parts (SRRCKV7) Fuel Line Check Valve for 3/8" Lines
Hard starting 1997 Jeep Wrangler...meaning I'd get in the jeep, turn over the starter forever to no avail. Then let off the key, and it would start on 2nd attempt...then ran a little rough for a few seconds...then it was fine.
Fuel was draining back into the tank during shutdown, creating a lot of air in the line...so the injectors were pumping air for the first part of startup.
Tried installing this check valve near the fuel tank as a solution because of the low price.
Did it fix the problem? Yes...it started 1st time every time...but...
NEW PROBLEM: Fuel pressure forward of the check valve rose (Las Vegas heat plus hot engine compartment) during shutdown enough to blow off the fuel lines and injector o-rings. WAY too much pressure.
SOLUTION: The factory pump assembly has a check valve feature...and also an overpressurization relief valve. Going to buy a factory replacement pump...it seems the panel of engineers who designed the system knew what they were doing after all...guess I need more schooling to outsmart them...pulling out my wallet again to do it right this time:)
